Ioanna Troullidou

Ioanna studied music at the University of Pécs in Hungary where she earned a Master of Arts degree in music teaching, choir conducting, and jazz singing/musical and performance. Ioanna was a member of the No more Blues Band in Hungary until 2007 awith Balásy Szabolcs, Horváth Krisztian, Dömösi Tamás, Dingo János and KebuszekZsolt!

In addition, She studied Jazz singing and style from the well-known American Jazz singers Marion Cowings and YaalaBallin.

After finishing her studies in 2007 she returns to Cyprus where she sings with the Cyprus Big band, Charis Ioannou, SavvasHouvartas, Gabriel Karapatakis, Rodos Panayiotou, Aggelos Aggelides, Terry, Irenaeos Koullouras, Giorgos Krasides, Giorgos Koulas, Ofer Ganor (Israel), Marios Toumbas, and many others!

She participated in several Jazz Festivals in Cyprus like the Aglan jazz Festival 2013, the Aphrodite hills jazz Festival 2013 with the newly formed band Joanna’s mood, the Paradise Jazz Festival and the dance platform 2011 and 2013!

In 2012, she recorded her first CD, Get Out of Town, a collection of American jazz standards in cooperation with musicians from New York and Cyprus, including composer/arranger and saxophonist, Chris Byars!

The song, All or Nothing at All, from the album was broadcasted on the International Ronnie Scott’s Radio Show on February 2013!

Since 2007, Ioanna has been teaching Vocal Jazz Performance at the European University of Cyprus.
