A very active and versatile bass player, Makram Aboul Hosn has been performing in the Beirut music scene for over 5 years with some of the most prominent groups in the city. Makram received his Jazz and Classical music education at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory. He plays both Upright and Electric bass, covering a multitude of styles including Latin, Jazz, Blues and Rock music.
During the summer of 2013, Makram travelled to the United States to attend both the Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz camp in Louisville, Kentucky and the Jazz Port Townsend in Seattle, Washington. He received scholarships to both camps and studied with outstanding jazz artists/educators including Jamey Aebersold, David Baker, Rufus Reid, John Clayton, and many others.
